Perhaps the most common way for Disneyaholics and DVC members to expand upon their Disney experiences is via a Disney Cruise. Consistently ranked among the best in terms of food, service and activities, the Disney Cruise Line (DCL) is constantly expanding its offerings. Nearly all cruises include a stopover at Castaway Cay, Disney's private island in the Caribbean.

Various cruises include three-, four-, and five-night cruises to the Bahamas, seven-night cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, a seven-night cruise to the Mexican Riviera, and 15-night Transcanal cruises. Moreover, DCL even offers "Members Only" (i.e., DVC Members only) cruises at least once per year. These Member Cruises provide DVC members with an opportunity to enjoy each other's company and "talk DVC" while luxuriating in the DCL.

Point costs vary according to length of cruise and destination, type of stateroom reserved, and season of the year.

For example, three-night bruises to the Bahamas range from 67 - 248 reservation points per person (37 - 115 per child).. Four-night cruises to the Bahamas range from 82 - 265 reservation points per person (51 - 131 per child) . Seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruises range from 133 - 428 reservation points per person (63 - 188 per child) and seven-night Western Caribbean Cruises are offer similar point structures. Lengthier cruises are, naturally, more point-costly.

Please note that Disney also charges points (beginning at 18 for the shorter cruises) for children aged 2 and under.
