I am a first time DVC purchaser (bought resale) and am wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to call Disney to get my membership # and website login info before I receive it in the mail.

Yes, I called Member Administration and gave them my name, the contract number and the previous owners' names. They gave me my membership number and helped me set up my online account before transferring me to Member Services so I could make my first reservation.

Did you have any luck with this?
I am now in the same situation- tried to call Member Services today and did not have any luck. He said I'd have to "wait for the packet in the mail"
Member Admin is closed

I'll try again on Monday....

Yes. You will be officially in the system and able to make reservations much sooner than waiting for Disney mail. We got notification from our broker one week after closing that the sale closed. The next day we were able to call member services and make a reservation. (We had a loaded contract and had points we had to use.). But be prepared that it may take an additional week or two to get in the system. If I remember correctly we did not get our membership packet from Disney until about a month later.

Thanks! - we got notification Thursday that Disney had made the transfer of ownership into our name. It did also state that it takes about 2 days for the points to be put into your account.

Maybe I'll try again this afternoon or tomorrow??
