Default Wild Africa Trek

I just booked the Wild Africa Trek for my son (12-years-old) and I. This is a gift for his great grades and effort in 6th grade and for being chosen captain of his schools Envirothon wildlife team - they won the county Envirothon for his area. I read a few reviews and thought it strait forward but was hoping those of you who have done the trek could give me even more pointers - our trek is on June 24th.

Thanks,

Mike

Thank you cheyenne, you did a great job in reviewing the Trek. One question, when they referr to clipping to the harness with cameras is that referring to a strap on the camera that can clip to the harness?

Your camera will clip onto your safety vest. There are pockets on the vest so if it's a small camera it should fit in the pocket, but again it must also be clipped to the vest. In my case the clip on the vest attached to the wrist strap on my camera. The guides will take care of it for you. As long as you have some kind of wrist strap or neck strap on your camera you should be good to go.

Thanks again. We will go with the small camera in that case. Really looking forward to this trip.

Hey Mike,

Did you have any trouble getting the Trek tickets on such short notice. I need six tickets during F&W and more time for such a large purchase. Does anyone have an opinion on how long I can wait to purchase?

Look forward to hearing about your Trek.

Happy Trails,
Jennie

Hi Jennie,

Absolutely no problem at all. I asked for Sunday the 24th at 8 AM and they had openings. I do believe that the Trek is less likely to sell out in the summer months due to the heat than in the fall though.

Cheers,

Mike

Thanks so much Mike. I won't wait too long. Planning to buy in early Aug for Oct 20 & have the 22nd as a back up.
