Default What DVC did for me..

We talk all the time about DVC and the advantages to owning..Well, I was looking through my iphoto today and this is what DVC did for me.

My father has always wanted a "family reunion", a vacation where he could go away with his daughters and grandchildren and take a vacation. We're pretty split up, with my parents in NY, my sister in Va and me in SC. Then throw in that my Dad owns a business and I work every weekend and my sister is a teacher and is off only ON weekends, and you get it.

Well, because of banked points, I booked a GV, a 2 bedroom and studio at HHI for summer break. We had four generations there. Lots of time hanging out, swimming, eating and spending rare time together.

Well, we recently found out that my Dad has a big fight in front of him. He has prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones. He's got excellent doctors ( his doctor is an attending at Harvard ) and he's still doing well.

I will be forever grateful that I was able to do this for him. And because of DVC, as long as his health allows, I'll be able to do it again.

That's a wonderful story about the family reunion. So sorry to hear about your Dad, and I wish him the best. Isn't it so nice to know you were able to bring the whole family together and make his wish come true!

How wonderful that you were able to do it once and hopefully there are more events like that in your Dad's future. I know how difficult it can be to organize something like that, but isn't it all worth it in the end? What a beautiful photo of happy memories!
