Default VGC Power Walk through the Park

DH and I had some extra points so we decided to spend a few nights at VCG this week. At check in I had requested a high floor park view and I was in luck got a great view of DCA Paridice Pier from the fifth floor. After we were settled in our one bedroom villa we walked around Downtown Disney before having dinner at Steakhouse 55
After dinner went back up to our room and watched World of Color. YES! We watched World of Color from our room. Awesome view!
Ok.... now the main reason fo my little trip report... If you don't know ready... You can power walk inside DCA before the park opens to guests. It's a two mile walk around the park in 30 minuets so this is a brisk paced walk and is offtered everyday to free Resort guests.
What is fun is that is get to see the park getting ready for the day. Cast and Crew are painting, planting and power washing everything.
We were able to see down Buena Visa Street since the construction crew had the walls down. Beatiful. This will be so nice one it is finally open on June 15. We also got to see the Red Car Trolly running down street.
Check it out if you are in town.

Thanks for the great summary. Noticed a blurb on the power walk when I was there in February, will have to give it a try sometime.

I have wanted to do this every time I have stayed there. I wonder if it will change once CarsLand opens? I guess they'll just go much earlier?

There is rumor that DCA will open to all guests at 8 am, and to select guests at 7 am starting June 15. If this true, I don't see them leading a power walk at 6 am or so. We can hope it starts back up in the off season. -- Suzanne

That's what I was thinking. I knew DCA would be opening way earlier.

I did the Power Walk on 4/24, and highly recommend it. The half hour flew by, and I learned a lot from our guide, who was also a DVC member.

How cool! I would love to try this if it's offered when we're there in August.
