Default Dec MVMCP tickets on sale now!!!

I read that the Dec MVMCP tickets went on sale today. We have been to Disney over Christmas before, but we have always arrived after the MVMCP ends. This year we are going a little earlier. I called today and was so excited to learn that we will be able to catch the last day for the MVMCP! I am looking forward to the event and snow on Main Street!

So when is the last night? I'm guessing we'll be too late for it (we get there on the 20th), but doesn't hurt to check!

Ouch...that's steep! Is there a DVC discount? DH has been wanting to take a day during one of our trips and go to Universal. I keep putting him off because we have APs at WDW and I hate to spend the extra money on Universal tix when we could go to a Disney park for "free". He would probably frown if I wanted to spend essentially the same amount of money to go to MVMCP.

Wow - I was expecting a price similar to MNSSHP - why so much more when comparing the two. We planned on getting AP this December for the first time - now another $200 on top of that. Really want to do this since who knows when we will be back for Christmas. Tell me it's worth it.

I am in the same boat. I don't go to Disney every Christmas and this is the earliest we have been able to get there in all the times we have gone. I have heard it is very nice.

Disney states it also includes:

Save 40% on Disney PhotoPass
Exclusively for the event. See any Disney PhotoPass Photographer for Details. Special Event Merchandise is also available in select locations throughout the park be sure to check your map for exact locations.

On select evenings during the Holiday season you can purchase tickets for the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party event, complete with hot chocolate, cookies, a complimentary family photo and button, and even SNOW... Don't miss the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade held twice during the evening. Also see a Special Holiday Wishes Fireworks.

Okay so until Dec. 20 tickets are $62.78 minus the discount - a little better. I saw $72.37 - not much difference - but $20 for two people is something.
