Just placed an order with Garden Grocer yesterday morning, and when I got to check out, a note popped up that they temporarily cannot deliver alcohol, but they are applying for a license. Because they set prices ahead of time (rather than just buying and charging you a service fee, like WeGoShop), I wonder if they might have had an issue with selling alcohol without a license.

Anyway - since the note didn't pop up until check out, for the time being if you want alcohol from Garden Grocer, you might want to check with them first before going all the way through the order process and finding out you can't get everything you want!

Yeah, I saw that too. I think it said that once they obtained their alcohol permit they would actually have different beverages on their website.

How much you want to bet someone at that Mousehouseconcierge website dropped a dime on them? Not that I care, but they seem to go through great detail to advertise how they are able to LEGALLY deliver alcohol to you.

Yeah, someone must have told on them. The last time we used GG, they called me with a detailed list of beverages and prices they could bring. I guess this is a good step for them, though, since they can list the items on the website.

I got it from Wegoshop, and I guess since they bought it from Publix, who is licensed to sell alcohol, and the purchase was on the receipt from Publix, they're allowed to do it.

Interesting. Wegoshop also told me that if there was alcohol in the order they couldn't leave it with Bell Services because they would have to see my ID in person.

Also interesting. When we ordered alcohol from GG (several years ago now), we actually got a separate receipt from the grocery store for the alcohol rather than getting given their preset prices. It does sound like they would need a licence if they want to re-sell stuff.

OM, I'm surprised about that. When did you talk to here? When they received my order, Amy called me and told me just to email her a copy of my drivers license.

Worked out great for us. Got a call at the airport that it had been dropped of around 3pm that day. Got in around 2am, and bell services delivered to my room. This was about 3 weeks ago.

In Sept we were required to meet Wegoshop in the room in order to get alcohol.

We met the WeGoShop lady out in the porte cochere at BWV.

IIRC, I had ordered "one bottle of New Zealand Sauvingnon blanc with a screw on cap for less than $15 dollars" (she did a fantastic job of picking a good one), and none of us had to show our id's.

Oh, damn, maybe we just looked 40 something?

One of my friends had ordered some sort of red wine (ew), also.

Default Beer/Wine Delivered - mousehouseconcierge.com

just got back from a 9 day at a 1bdrm at BCV....miss it like crazy already...............Garden Grocer and We Go both dont have their license....Uncle Sam has to make his cut........we had huge success with Mousehouseconcierge.com....they are licensed, delivered on time, easy to work with, simple to order.......unlike Garden or We Go there are no hidden delivery fees, no "fuel surcharge until gas goes below $3/gal"...(its not going back to less then $3 a gal so just add the cost to the items and stop pretending its some hardship!).............

MouseHouse was great, the ladies were easy to work with, the site was easy to navigate, and they are the only ones that can apparently LEGALLY get you beer wine booze delivered.........AND THEY ARE CHEAPER~! item to item delivered, once we added up the cost + the delivery fee+ the fuel surcharge, MouseHouseConcerige worked out to be about $75 cheaper than Garden whom we've used in the past........
