I would LOVE that!! What a great idea!!! The closest I have been to Australia is 8 seasons of McLeod's Daughters. [/quote]

that is hilarious. I never did watch that show.

My boss only gives me odd looks and smiles when I tell him I'm going to WDW. I'll have that conversation later this week...

I spent three-hours last on Sunday night talking Disney and DVC with a colleague of mine. Honestly, if someone was eaves-dropping on the conversation, they'd think we're a bunch of loonies!

But the best part is, being DVC members, we know we are going back, so we don't have to rush and worry about getting this or that in. If a line is too long, we skip it and come back later, it really is relaxing....A concept most people won't get. And the accomodation is fantastic, I wouldn't trade it.
I read this without reading who posted. I thought it was Wikeroo.

The Wilkeroo's share these sentiments entirely. We couldn't have written it better ourselves

P.S You have the same avatars to add to my confusion

My husband and I don't have kids and we have gone to disney 5 times in our 8 years together. Last year we bought DVC and my dream is to buy more points so we can go to Disney for one week a year and go on an RCI or Cruise also! Besides my parents, my family (much older siblings) have never gone or taken their kids. I always feel judged like "There are so many other places in the world why would you go to an amusement park all the time". --or they think Disney is too commercial. My friends who have gone understand, but those who have not gone, don't! I think of it as like going to a cottage every year--my dream cottage!! And I dont' have to mow the lawn there!!!
I do find myself hiding it, though. these postings are giving me courage!!!!
I like the idea of saying that I am related to Sleeping Beauty!

He stopped by my office today... I mentioned that I was taking next week off. He said "Oh, are you going out of town?" "Yes" "Where to?" "Florida" "Disney World again?" "Yes, it's my daughters birthday" "You should try Universal Studios" "Yes, we're thinking about that in December" He just smiled

I'm down to single-digits. DW is getting ready for a new semester, I'm getting ready for an influx of students. It's time for a break!

You should have said "Heresy...why would you say such heresy?"

Now that would have been funny.

That would have been But with my luck and his logic path, he would have heard it as "Hershey" and then he would think I'm going to Pennsylvania...

We are in the same boat I guess. The flight to America is far but I think your country is worth every minute. People say to us why do you keep going back to the US, there are so many other places to go. It's really annoying. They just can't understand how much there is to do and see there. The first time we went Hawaii, LA, Las Vegas nd Grand Canyon. The second time we went LA and Memphis (Elvis baby ) and now we are doing Florida. They think we just keep going back to the same place.
I know exactly how you feel. I'm from Melbourne, Australia. We made our first trip to LA VGC in 2009 and have been back yearly since then. Each time my friends say, why are you going again? Don't you want to try somewhere else? Clearly they have never been or they would understand how addictive Disney vacations are They also ask how do you afford to go every year? I am in my late 20's and many of my friends are older than me and have never been. I believe it is about priorities. One of mine is to take our daughter on a fun vacation once a year to the happiest place on earth. My daughter's friend's Mum asked me the other day if I am planning another Disneyland trip (she was being sarcastic) and I said yes, I am, we are actually going to do Disneyland and DisneyWorld in the one trip this year. She looked at me as if I was mad! We can't wait to take our first trip to WDW staying at VWL but we had to combine it with DL because VGC is home to us. We couldn't take a trip to the USA without visiting it. Like all of you, I love Disney trips and do not care what everyone else thinks, they are the ones missing out. Happy vacationing friends!

Luckily, my family lives in Florida, so I find myself just saying "We're headed down to Florida" rather than saying we're going to WDW. I even had a woman in my son's speech therapy office, when he told her we were going to WDW again, say to him "Going to Disney World is special, but you can't really understand that."

I hate that I feel we have to hide our trips or, if we do tell someone, explain why we never get tired of WDW. It can really take the fun out of planning for a trip

The lady at speech is right...going to Disney World IS SPECIAL!! What a lucky kid that your family gets to have that special experience every 4-6 months. We've been going about every other year, and people roll their eyes at us, so I can only imagine what you get. We also have friends who go down from NC 4 times a year. Lucky them! It's a completely different experience each time you go. One family has teen twin boys who still love to go there. Don't let someone who doesn't fully love & appreciate DW take away any of the magic for you or your family. They just don't get it! A good reason to hop on here & "spend time" with those who love it as much as you do.
