We'll be there the 3rd through the 7th but I think we'll be skipping the MO gathering because the 6th is the F&W PFTS, soooo unless we get shut for tickets we will be at EPCOT that night.

Ooh, may join you at this instead myself. If so, sorry, Timmy. We shall see...

Party for the Senses, a special event held at the Food & Wine Festival. Not cheap ($200 I believe? not sure), but it sounds like basically a large cocktail party with several selections available at the various kiosks, just all together and indoors. I'm sure better explanations are out there than mine, haha.

Never been concurrently with a Party for the Senses (there are only a few), hence my wavering.

The PFTS is held in a big building that is between Canada and the UK through the big gates behind the coffee stand. If you are familiar with other food and wine experiences it is done is the style of a Grand Tasting where there are small bites plus wine and spirits being served. It is held every Saturday during the F&W and typically includes the guest chefs that have been at the festival that week along with the wineries that have poured. Various other restaurants are represented including most of the signature WDW places. I would say there are about 20 rectangle stations set up with each having a different chef represented on each of the long sides with alcohol being served at the ends. If you are a wino you will probably find like most of the Disney food and wine the food is pretty interesting but the wine is pretty much "plonk". However if you search it out you can usually find a couple of decent to good wines at some of the stations. Also a few of the stations will be set up for dessert. During he evening there is entertainment and the last couple of years it has been performers from the Cirque du Soleil. Brian is pretty close on the price, there is also a up charge to the "wine view lounge" which is separated section inside and the guest get in 30min early plus they have an open bar pouring. The event ends in time to walk out and view Illuminations.

Last couple of years there has been a Friday night Dessert version of the PFTS but that is just way too much sugar for me.

Thanks, Richard. Definitely a possibility.

duh I did it in 2008... it was nice... but will have to skip it for a 2nd time... an experience is enough for me for the price... was lucky to get it with a CM discount so I was able to do it...
