Default 1000 Point MF?

Holy Cow! I'm sure there are some who have that many points, but I can't imagine paying something like 4 to 5K/ year on MF. We just don't live close enough to visit that frequently or for such long stays.

I voted no because I do not like paying dues on the points that I do have, which total a lot less than 1000!.

However, when I win the lottery, I will come back and change my vote to yes.

I am with Carol. I voted no because I don't want to pay fees on 1000 or more points either, even though I have to.

very clever, david!

YES! even if i had 10,000 additional points without having to make a big upfront investment...i would gladly pay the maintenance fees for the income from renting! who can say no to a sizeable positive cash flow with relatively little work? pessimistic view - 10,000 points paying $60,000 in mf, then renting 8000 at $10 (using the rest, giving away, wasting...produces $80,000 in income - $20,000 positive cash flow (profit) for my time, with all my vacations free.

optimistic view - rent 8000 at $12/point on average, my profit home rises to $40,000 annually.

but, then i'm retired, have lots of time, few worries.

Almost there
Paying over $4,000 on 890 points.
And NO, I don't WANT to pay it.

Voting YES because that would mean that I owned 1000 points. I would like that a lot!

In today's DVC rental market, YES.
If anyone wants to give me 1000 points, I would be happy to pay the dues on them.

I don't think the question clarifies the full situation.
I would not like to owe that if I did not get to use (or collect the rent revenue) from the points.

I would like to have 1000 points to use for my vacation next year as well.
I can imagine myself in a GV at BLT with a view of the MK.
