Well we certainly have our likes and dislikes. Lol.

However, for the time we stayed there, we had a good time. My mother is obviously excited about it...

I am!

I think the artist's rendering is very lovely. I'll certainly stay there on SSR points, maybe even SSR points bought resale - who knows? I like the location much better than BLT - easy monorail or launch to MK and, best of all, a short walk to the Poly and Kona!! It's as close to a Poly DVC as I'm expecting to find barring a complete redo of Poly.

When do they typically start pre-sales? I have an add-on in my near future. I may need to wait for GF details before pulling the trigger. OR.... I may get my add-on now & then have a reason for yet another add-on then

This is such a departure from not allowing “The Disney Collection” stays at resorts with DVC units. They must still see a demand from non VGC owners, that can’t get in at the 7 month mark, or ones that want luxury hotel room stays (which in many cases are better then studio villas).

Why not just declare a few more rooms as DVC Studios? They already have the following room (1500, 1503, 1511, 1513, 2503, 3503, 4503, and 5503) adjacent to or surrounded by DVC units so why not just incorporate them in?

Or do they realize that there isn’t enough year round (or year after year) demand making it difficult to sell additional points?

A few years ago, I would have been jumping up and down for DVC units at Grand Floridian. I know I had posted many times that the Grand Floridian was one of our favorite Disney World resorts. We have never stayed there, but visit the resort very frequently. The only other resort we visit often like that is the Contemporary. But with all the changes, drop in resale prices, rise in direct purchase price and maintenance fees....We are going to sit this one out for now.

I am super excited about the TIW card without the annual pass. Do you think it will be available for me to buy for my March trip?
