Not necessarily.

One of the symptoms of Asperger's Syndrome is a lack of awareness of voice volume. To many it probably seems unlikely that a person with no hearing deficit does not pick up on the volume of their own voice, but there are people who have trouble learning to be aware of this.
Another Asperger's symptom is not learning to pick up on social cues as quickly as normal.
I am sure the two are correlated. One may be somewhat caused by the other.

You crack me up (In a good way). I love your sass! I hear you loud and clear. I, too, hate blabbers that are invading the joy of others.

By the way, you are welcome - "Miss Manners."

My son resembles this remark. He has trouble with the volume and tone of his voice. He also has little social awareness therefore he doesn't get embarrassed or understand that someone is upset with him. Unfortunately, it's hard to tell from looking at someone whether they're autistic. And with the rising rate of autism, this is only going to get worse.

That being said, sometimes an ass is just an ass. (Can I say that?)

It seems like whenever we are on vacation there is one super loud & obnoxious individual. And for some reason they are always at the same place I am!!!

This thread is exactly why I haven't been to a movie theater in 6 years. I bought a house where I could built a HT, and now I wait till the Blu-Ray hits Redbox. At least at home I don't have to watch people text or hear them being rude. Nothing like paying $20 for a movie then a whole lot more for snacks, and then not being able to enjoy the movie. Paying $150 for this to happen would have me incensed. I probably would have gone to management and asked for more tickets or to get my money back.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't know any kids under the age of ten who can modulate the volume of their voice. They are all loud!

When I was 17 I was a camp counselor for 27 four year old boys. Holy cow the lungs on those kids!

We stayed outside all the time...
