No! The flexibility was the hook for us.

It's not something that would interest us. One of the biggest attractions of DVC for our family was the flexibility making it more useful to us over the years than a traditional timeshare as our vacation preferences and needs change.

The only reason I bought DVC was because of the flexibility with the points.

Now that I have some other TS in my pocket, I do think I'd be interested in a fixed week at VGC. Even if I only stayed 3 nights - it would be easy to rent out the rest of the week. Although my main goal would be to insure a regular vacation.

I would never buy a fixed week, one of the big reasons we bought into DVC in '99 was the flexibility. We had had Timeshare opportunities previously and never purchased. DVC's flexibility PLUS oing to our favorite place on earth, was an easy sell

A no from me too.

It is the flexibility that makes DVC work for us. We currently go in October as that fits around the childrens schooling but in 2 years time we won't have that restriction and will want a smaller unit for longer at other times of year. It was the ability to plan for changes in the future that made me buy DVC as I have always found timeshares too restrictive.

No way in heck. Absolutely ZERO flexibility.

Unhappy Fixed weeks

Being a Disney fan from the UK If we had wanted fixed weeks we would have looked at the hundreds of TS opportunities in Europe, no, the major attraction of DVC was the flexibility. Also if memory serves me correct and we've been members since 1999 a large proportion of the sales talk was pitched around this very same flexibility. If they ever changed to fixed weeks we would pull out.

Self employed and travel when I can leave the business to others. Want to travel when I want not when my time is open.
