Default Most Romantic Disney Moment?

DH and I were thinking of our first trip to WDW, and brought up our most cherished and romantic moment at the World together.

We stayed at the Poly in 1994. Since our honeymoon was only a weekend, we were finally doing the "big trip." One early morning at about 2:30 a.m., after we had just closed the Jazz Club at PI, we decided to go swimming in the quiet pool. No one was there, so we had it to ourselves. The night was chilly, but the pool was warm, causing steam to rise from it. We got in, it was so warm. We swam for about an hour, laughing. Then we figured, "the pool is probably closed." Nobody around. We finally left, but still remember having that beautiful heated pool to ourselves on a chilly December night, surrounded by beautiful flowers, laughing and listening to the Hawaiian music at the Poly.

Anyone else have some romantic moments to share?

Default Most Romantic Moment

It would be hard to pick a most romantic moment---whether it be an evening stroll around the BW, our first stay at WL during our thirteenth year (because of a delayed honeymoon!), watching the fireworks at EPCOT from pontoon: or even though this isn't Disney proper, giving me my refurbished engagement ring on our first Disney Cruise during our twenty-first year, it could be any of those! Probably my most romantic moment will be during our upcoming trip with our family to Poly (first time stay) in 2008 to celebrate our 25th wedding annaversary! (I'll let you know!) There's no doubt about it, DW is a very romantic place to be! (Non-Disney people have no concept!)

Our first trip together was our honeymoon back in 2001. Some moments I clearly remember and often daydream about:

~ PI fireworks on NYE 01 - 02

~ Laying side by side on Orient Beach in St. Maarten on Christmas Day during our 7-night Eastern Cruise

~ Sitting on our verandah in the middle of the night while sailing past Puerto Rico - you could hear music and see lights on the island. I actually captured some video of it. It was absolutely beautiful out!

~ May 04 - our first official DVC trip -- we did the Illuminations Cruise. Although we were with friends, I'll always remember it as being magical and romantic.

1993 - DH asking me to marry him inside the castle during dinner, then as if on cue as we walked outside the fireworks started. I've seen many WDW fireworks over the years, but I remember those fireworks exactly.

I can think of three...

1. Honeymoon in the Grand Floridian Turret Honeymoon room in late late 80s...

2. Being asked to get married at midnight on top of the Contemporary in late late 90s...

3. H asking, "Do we need more points?" while walking around WDW in mid 00s....

Mnnnnnn, the POLY beach is almost sacred to me and Mr. Roz. I remember one particular night like it was just a few moments ago. It wasen't a birthday, or anniversary, or even a planned event. Just one of those moments in time that will live forever...

just a side note, we've never done the Wishes or illuminations cruise. For some reason, I'm saving that experience to celebrate something really special. Maybe our 10th, or maybe a birthday, not quite sure. I have a bad habit of "saving" stuff for special occasions.

Two instances come to mind...Watching the fireworks at the MK during our honeymoon in'96, and giving Rachel her Mickey Ring on the Poly beach for our 10th anniversary.

Allright - so it's Disneyland - but close enough.
DH and I were just dating at the time. was a Senior in high school and he had just graduated and was getting ready to leave for basic training. We went to LA with my sister, her DH, and my mom and dad to help sister move into an apartment there. Me being the Disney nut I already was, I could not go to LA without going to DLR for a day!
Do DH and I (remember - just dating then) took a day and headed to the parks. We had the most romantic day we'd ever had there. Had a wonderful time. Got our pictures sketched, even got to be the only ones on POC together - we rode it right before they shut down the lines. The most romatic part, however, is kinda odd.... DH always called me Kristine. Only family really called me Kristy then. As we were walking down Main Street DH was holdind my hand, he started calling me Kristy. I was suprised, but didn't call his attention to it. He told me 2 months laster when he asked me to marry him, that it was at Disney that he really started to realize he wanted us to be together forever. That he could picture us then walking our kids down main street together, and then our grandkids.....
