Since this is mobile and "Where am I" changes, I'd like to suggest
either burcs or ghafler won this round by guessing the area this
roving object could at least be sighted. If this has something to do with a
parade, there could be multiple correct answers. "Can it be seen from Caseys?" 'Can it be seen from the train station?' "Does it appear only at a certain time?"

The place yall got, Main Street.

Burcs is damn close with the parade/mobile guesses. Honestly I am surprised yall have not gotten it yet, especially those who have have seen what I have talked about with my prior trips.

And since its been divined as a parade, yes, you could see it from the train station, you could see it all along the street in Main St. The question was "Where am I and what am I looking at? (two part)". So, the where is answered. Burcs got that I was looking at a parade.

To answer your last question, "Does it appear only at a certain time?"
Yes it does. ghafler will not see it when he is there this week (or at least I don't think so).

Are you happy with me calling it on that general answer of a parade or do you want to try to figure out what in the parade the photo is (which is what I was hoping you would guess)? If yall feel parade is close enough. Done, I am ok with that. If not then we can continue. Your call.

Ok, so yall don't accost me, I am going to call it! Who got this one? burcs got it was a parade, ghafler worked it out that its part of a float. Both are correct.

I am pretty sure once I post it you will have a "Doh!" moment so here it is:
