Haven't had time to explore too much yet, but I noticed that when you click on total cost of ownership, "Currently Available DVC Resorts" is misspelled.

Looks awesome!m

Also, is there a way to see marginal cost of ownership or just cumulative?

Well I have always been better at programing then spelling. I will change that right away.

Not sure what you mean by marginal costs, but I can add it in if you want to give me a scenario.

And if you are in the "points is points" crowd, a resale at SSR will probably save more money than buying at either BLT or AKV. -- Suzanne
Well I made the TCO first just to compare overall costs as our guide was explaining it was cheaper to buy in at BLT then SSR Over time. We knew we wanted 178 points because our normal stay at OKW was 178 points. It is more of a guide for yearly dues then a set in stone kind of thing.

The biggest benefit of the site is the trip planner and discussion portion IMHO.

I'd suggest making the total cost more dynamic than hard coded into your program. It appears to assume someone is buying direct whereas many on MO look for resale. I'd see this as very useful if I could play with some of my own scenarios. Good job. Thanks for sharing!

Beta tester here, submitting my first trouble ticket: I just tried adding a trip and got the following error

INSERT INTO trip( user_id, resort_id, room_id, view_id, points, date_in, date_from, date_to, needs_update, points_year ) VALUES( 16, 7, 3, 6, 192, now(), '2011-05-14', '2011-05-19', 0, )
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')' at line 2

Sorry, it should be fixed.

Thats what I get for trying to add to many things at once. I was adding an automatic points update for trips scheduled past the available 2012 point charts, and didn't test enough for trips within dates before posting it last night. I am just going to blame on being tired.

I think it would be good if in addition to showing the cumulative MF each year, you show the MF for that year only.

You also should show the NPV of the MF.

Agree with others that it would be good if we could enter a purchase price to look at what we paid and/or what we might pay via resale.

Good job!
