I'd say it's best to fly into LaGuardia: 20-30 min cab ride to Manhattan cruise terminal. As an alternative you could fly into JFK: if you don't have too much luggage you can take public transportation to Manhattan, or take a cab with a fixed fair price (I think it'$40).

Newark, Wight Plains and McArthur airports are also not too far (60-90 min) outside of NYC. Personally, I never really fly out of there as the transportation to NY is not as convenient IMO. A cab fair to any of these airports is sure to be very high since they are outside of the city limits.

Prices are out today. But only Gold and Platinum members can book.

Friday, everyone else can reserve Friday.

Thank you Tom - and do you mind reminding me about the # of cruises to have taken with each Title. I know I am not Gold, lol. I probably don't fall under Platinum either

TIA

Not Tom, but gold is 5-9 sailings and platinum is 10+. My last two sailings didn't count toward the tier so I am still at silver

Group bookings will be available 4/25, but speculation is that there will not be group space for sale on the 2-nighters.

I was fortunate enough to attend the event in NY yesterday, and even though the news had already been leaked in such detail, it was still quite exciting. Any chance to see the mouse without hopping a plane is a good day!

ISP is my home airport and not really convenient for a cruise from NY but if you see an incredible DING fare from Southwest that can't be beat, please know that the Long Island Railroad is a hop, skip and jump from ISP and you can take the train directly to Penn station from there. Train ride is about an hour and 20 minutes. Off peak round trip is about $24 for adults.

Thank you. I have taken four - so I must be silver. I wonder if the two-nighter will count.

Not planning on using points, but just wanted to make sure that even as a solo cruiser, I'd have to pay the above rates times 2, correct? So even though I'm alone Category 11 would be 132-138 points, as opposed to the 66-69? That's what I always thought...

For points you definately have to pay a minimum of the per person x 2. For cash I believe it will also be the per person price x 2. I know some cruise lines offer a solo cruiser rate which is like the price per person x 1.5, but I don't think Disney does that- anyone know?
Maybe between now and the cruise you will come upon a friend who wants to go with- that would be good.

Thanks, Mary, that's what I figured. I believe my December cruise (cash) is slightly less than double the per person price, but definitely pretty close to it. As for the finding a friend, no way I'd be able to tolerate rooming with another male, particularly in the close quarters of a ship room. As for the female variety I'd go with highly unlikely, though would certainly be nice...
