The Philadelphia Zoo has a family plan for their balloon. I think it's $50 for a family of 4. Maybe Disney should consider something like that.

This isn't owned by Disney, it's sponsored by Aerophile.

I have photos on my site of the Paris balloon, I actually did see it aloft a couple of years ago, though I'm afraid of heights and was penny pinching my Euros. I might try this one, even though the heights problem still exists!

The balloon just went up yesterday, and it will be going upward any day now for testing. Hard to believe it could be ready (possibly) by April 1st!

we were in SSR this weekend and on Monday night we went out in DTD..Didn't see the balloon. The next morning we went out to the pool and my dd was like, "WHOA!!! Was that there yesterday? I didn't see it". I responded, "well it must have been there...couldn't just happen overnight!" OOPS!!! She was right!

I guess I can add this to an attraction "I have never ridden" when it opens. It has no appeal to me nor am I willing to pay $16!! Forget it! I won't even go parasailing!

I do plan to do it once - I'm scared of heights, so maybe only once.

This "ride" is way cool and so is the view! If you have ever wanted to go up in a hot air balloon but never had a chance, this is it. It is a helium balloon and the ride is very quiet.

I thought the $16 per adult price was not too bad considering where it is (think the price of 2 hamburgers per adult in the park).

We were in DTD at the end of May and it was a bit breezy when we went up DW, DS7 did not mind it a bit either.

Cover Your Dole Whip
French Press Coffee Service 2 out of 3 not bad.

We liked it, but wished for an extra 5 minutes at the top.

Also there is a logjam of people bogarting the view of SSR/Disney when they realize the other view was DD parking lot.

I'm terrified of heights. Can't look down from a second floor balcony without getting weak-kneed. I guess it's the security of the netting or something, but I had absolutely NO fear in this balloon. Like Steamboat Bill said, another 5 minutes or so would have been nice.
