Default Menu at Beach Club Market-place

I was checking out the menu at Beach Club Marketplace, just in case I get stuck having to grab something from there.

I was fascinated by the entry "Half Roasted Chicken Dinner".
Clearly they either mean "Half-Roasted Chicken Dinner" or "Roasted Half-Chicken Dinner", but which?!

Looking at the rest of the menu, the problem became clear -- they had used up all the hyphens in the "Foot-long All-Beef Chili-Cheese Hot Dog"!

Made me laugh this morning. Thanks.

You teach mathematics, but you like to pick apart English.

Next, go after the BW Bakery as well. They may offer some more offerings not too far away and more English to pick on.

You people should know better than to encourage me....
Moving on to the Boardwalk Bakery Breakfast menu (itself an acme of alliteration), we have

crumb cake
banana bread
cookies & cream cupcake
pickle in pouch (???)

but the real winner is the "cage-free egg" in the "everything everything sandwich". Ignoring the redundant redundancy, why would an egg need to be caged? So it doesn't roll away? There's a great childrens book waiting to be written here!

In the Boardwalk Bakery Non-Breakfast Menu...
Would you purchase an item labeled ' "The Veggie" Sandwich'?!
I wouldn't touch it with a fork! If "The Veggie" has to be put in quotes, who knows what's really in it?!

Moving on to the Ham and Swiss Sandwich, who would buy that when for the same price, you can get one with a pedigree, the "Jersey Style Italian Hoagie"!

But I would go for the Grilled Cheese "with choice of side".
"I'll have the Grilled Cheese with a side of Key Lime Tart."
Actually I remember a conversation not terribly different than that, but IIRC I did have to pay for the Key Lime Tart.

We have very well trained hens who only lay civilized eggs. No need for me to cage them. I would strongly advise against any sort of half-cooked poultry, though. Extremely unappetizing.

Definitely. The Egg Roll is not all that uncommon. Hence the cages.

Cheers.

I'd like to know about that half-roasted chicken. But I won't be mean and suggest you try it. Might not do good things to your vacation.

Actually, this could make sense. Papa John's (I believe it's them) sells a half-baked pizza with the intent finish it at home. The idea is that the cook time is shorter than raw, but it is a better result to finish cooking than reheating.

This could actually work with poultry, provided that it wasn't left half-roasted for too long

Cheers.
