Default bus question

Heading down with the family in 2 weeks-concerned about taking the bus to the parks-with social distancing, how many people are allowed on the bus at a time-are the waits for buses extra long-would appreciate any tips

Approximately 20 to 25 people per bus. The bus is divided into 6 sections and the driver will assign sections. Standing is not currently permitted.

Each bus is separated into separate zones of (I think) 4 seats. The driver allocates a party to a specific zone. If the party is big they will be allocated two zones. So if there were six solo guests at the front of the line the bus would leave with only six people aboard.

Canít speak for wait times, reports vary.

We were there a couple of weeks ago. Buses truly are totally fine. Never had long wait times. The bus driver comes out of the bus, asks how many and assigns you a section. Never felt it was unsafe whatsoever. Depending on where you are assigned, you either enter at the front of the bus or back. Lots of separation and barriers separating the sections. I was impressed on how everything was running smoothly. And that includes the guests behaving. Everyone seemed to make an effort to let the ones waiting the longest go first. It was enlightening seeing everyone work together.

On our last trip we only took the bus twice- to DS and back to hotel. On this trip, the karmic connection was with us for busses. In each cases, we did a minor trot to catch a proper bus that was on-stand. In both cases we got on into the last available section (Section 2 in both cases). I would imagine that it's not always this good

Cheers.

Like everything else at WDW, social distancing is well enforce. Riding the buses is fine. The only time I have seen issues with riding the buses is first thing in the morning, when the parks are opening. We have been to WDW times in the past three months and it was like that on each trip. We ended up catching an Uber for Park openings, then wait for a bus.

We've not had to worry about buses for parks. We walk to Epcot and DHS, and drive to AK. Never did like buses for park opening and having a car makes it easy for AK.

Cheers.

We only had issues trying to get on a bus at park opening. We were at the BWV and trying to get to the MK about 30 minutes after park opening. We had to wait thru 3 buses before we were able to get a seat.

They had a CM handling the lines for loading. The buses only held 6 parties while we were there. So they could hold 24 people, or 6 people depending on the size of the 6 parties allowed on the bus.

The CM loading the buses had us all in a line, depending on our park of choice.

We did a split stay back in July. SSR we had no problems with the buses but when we were at Kidani trying to get to HS, it was bad. We waited about 45 minutes trying to get on a bus. Wish now we had taken a Lyft.

We had two bus issues on our trip. At Kidani we waited 35 minutes for a DS bus and then two pulled up at once, which by that time they were needed. The other bus crunch was at the Springs stop at Saratoga because every bus arrived full. If staying at Saratoga I would find a different bus stop - like we should've walked to Grandstand.
