Default Resort reservations & park reservations available thru January 14, 2022.

For those wanting to visit for the 50th. Park reservations are open and resort stays can be booked. A friend texted me this news. I am getting the stories in my inbox now. I had a resort stay booked already because I can't borrow anymore pointsI made it before they shut down reservations.

Does anyone know when the 50th celebration will start? Will it be October 1st?

No idea, but since it opened on October 1st I did a reservation for MK.
I had a friend who was there for the 45th. She went to MK. We said we'd be there together for the 50th. DD feels the same.

Not knowing what the future looks like at WDW, that's where we want to be.
Epcot might be my second choice.

I hope park reservations go away, but who knows.

Why limit dining reservations to 60 days in advance if you can make park reservations 14 months in advance? We can't even book a room on points that far out.

I know. In this system DVC for park reservations are at a disadvantage for sure. It's super annoying.

I won't have enough points anyway with the 50% borrowing rules too. I've seen some speculate these will be in place thru 2021. We want to be there so I booked a resort reservation. I'm hopeful that MNSSHP will return.

I'm hoping by 10/2021 park reservations are gone.

Got our park pass for 10/1 at MK! Hopefully by then things will be more normal and as many people as possible can celebrate there on the anniversary.

I hope so too! I made the entire trip

I fully expect that Disney will announce park reservations are gone and FP+ is back and we'll all be crazed making plans. No warning, etc. Like when they started allowing FP+ for MF and MMRR and just opened it up right before the shutdown. Drives me nuts.

So this is a date we are considering for our large family trip. I just tried to make a park reservation but no go. Have to have tickets first, which totally makes sense, but was hoping to grab MK for everyone before it fills up. Just not in a position to purchase tickets for everyone yet.

I really hope this reservation system is not in place for all of 2021. For our family, it absolutely kills the overall experience.

It has been extended until January 14, 2022. I am not a fan of the park reservation system either.
