Default DVC availability

What's going on? I logged on today to book Beach Club Villas exactly 11 months out, and remembering that it's Food and Wine season, I was worried that I didn't think of today's date until almost noontime. Yet, what a shock (and pleasant surprise for me) that not only was BCV available 11 months out, it's available 10, 9, even most of 8 months out. I thought that the Epcot resorts were very hard to get even at 11 months out. Is this increased availability possibly due to higher prices? Bad press? Woe, if this good luck continues, there's hope for me at 7 months to add a few days for an Animal Kingdom Lodge savannah view or maybe even Grand Floridian Villas.

Well, hmmm....I may book a placeholder room then. We're planning to skip WDW next year but have some extra points and can book a room to modify or cancel later. Or even rent it. But if things slow down next year, maybe we'll go after all.

What size room did you get? We’re all sizes available?

We booked a 2BR at BCV through an owner last year for Columbus Day weekend about 8 months out. Was this a studio that was available?

Stand view studios at BWV were missing Sept 19th so walking is likely going on. I booked BW view studio 19-23 but will prob modify to stand view for Oct 7-11 as that is DDs' fall break.

I wanted (and got) a studio. I thought that size would be hardest to get, so when I got it, I didn't even check the other sizes.

I think its the 'cheap seats' that are hard to get at 11 months. I can get everything except AK-J value studio and 2 Br.

This thread reminded me just now that I forgot to book our Sept trip this morning for BLT. Since I intended to get a standard 1 bedroom luckily it was available was able to book it. Of course the standard studios were long gone.

Agree with bakerworld. 11 month issues are almost always only for " cheap" rooms plus concierge. Don't remember reading that BCV is a problem right at 11 months. VGF studios are the only exception and even then it's mostly a fall problem.
