Default What killed the Points Available for Transfer page?

The Points Available for Transfer Page used to have so many incredible options for those of us looking to buy points via one-time transfer. Recently, there have only been a few postings, if any. What happened?

Absolutely. Just curious if something happened that led to owners not wanting to do transfers anymore or if the transfers are now being listed on the “Confirmed Reservation for Rent or Points Available for Rent or Transfer” page.

Thanks!

Thanks!
I know that a couple of the resale companies also offer points for rent/transfer. Might be impacting the points here as well.
It would really nice if people on the RTB would close their posts like they are supposed to. Is it seriously so hard to edit the darn thing to say “closed”?

We did that a bunch of years ago, I can't remember who it was, but one of the main ones. I was actually way more comfortable with that than renting, just my opinion.

It's kind of funny when I think back on it...they were VGC points that I used at OKW! hee hee.

my experience is that most of the transfer folks want either a very few points for premium resorts for less than market or a gob of points dirt cheap. it's like they're doing you a favor taking your points. move along.

But they’re offering to take all of those burdensome points off of your hands Barb! Aren’t you grateful?

I agree the market spoke on transfers.

DVC charges $19 for 1 time points and premium rentals can go for $20 per point
Not to mention all the stars have to align for transfers to match up

Most members want lower rate transfers and that market has dried up. If you mismanage large portions of your points today, you lose big time.
Most of those owners are selling while they can benefit and make a profit.

I think the rental market will start to tighten up as well for same reason.

The point transfer activity is alive and well on some other social media formats.
