Default What is ONE change that would make you feel more positive about Disney/DVC?

This is an offshoot of the “What are you telling people about DVC these days?” thread. (In other words, what would you tell people about buying DVC?)

I think there are too many options for this question to be a poll, which is why I have left it open ended.

Anyway, the one change that would make me feel a lot better about Disney and owning DVC would be the re-appearance of non-expiration tickets. I can deal with the pre-planning (even though I find it to be a PITA), I can deal with the escalating prices, I can deal with a lot of BS. But the one thing that I really miss is the non-expiring ticket. They made prices much more palatable to me.

What’s the single change you’d like to see that would no longer make you feel as if you’re just an open wallet to Disney?

Discounts across the board for park tickets. 20% off all types would be reasonable.

I would like to see a discounted DVC Pass for members and wish they would discontinue the Member Night Events . Why have a party that is so difficult to sign up for ?

Remove restrictions on resales.

When Disney implemented the very first restriction on resales, it was the start of that slippery slope of greed. In my early ownership days, I use to always tout how DVC was different then all other timeshares because buying DVC direct or buying DVC resale did not matter......all owners were treated the same.

if I had to pick one, it would be additional FP+s for each day staying there on points.

I am picking this because it would not cost Disney anything (I think) to accomplish this while many of the other choices (discounts) would cost Disney money. It is not that I am against discounts; rather, just don't see Disney doing this.

1 thing???

I hate the way resale is being treated with the restrictions. As for the $ aspect new resale buyers lose the ability to get discounted APs and the blue membership card to get other discounts and even TIW. Restoring the way it used to be would go a long way to making me feel better about it.

I understand why they got rid of non expiring, so I’d be happy with even a modified version, 2 year expiration tickets at a premium over 14 day expirations.

- Discounted DVC AP’s always.
- DVC actual Owners having special FP timeframe.
- More special events just for DVC owners and advertised in enough time to possibly change plans.

Side Note: Dislike how “Welcome Home” is thrown out to all.

I’ve given this a lot of careful thought, and I’m going to go with “longer pool bar hours.”

I'd be happy with several things....any of these would be a positive change in my opinion:

- Let DVC members pay for APs on a monthly basis

- Better park ticket discounts on ALL types of park tickets form single day to APs

- Less restrictions on resale...Im not even a resale owner and I feel like they are nickel and dining the resale folks to death

-Let DVC members book 4 or 5 FPs instead of 3

I like how they have let DVC members get into MVMCP and MNNSHP at 2 pm (instead of 4 pm). That is a little perk that doesnt cost them any thing and Id like to see them do more things like that
