Default Pool Hopping

Any MO friends experience pool hopping while staying at The World on a cash Ressie?

Headed down in October for MNSSHP and would like to enjoy Paddock at SSR. DVC chat said no problem just show photo id at guard gate and say I want to visit the resort....Thoughts?

If its a DVC Resort, not all pools are open for hopping, cash or points guest. Only pools left to hop are AKV, OKW, SSR, BWV.

Funny how MS is being such a stickler about some things and not others. Afaik the rule states you must be staying on points to be able to hop. Even when being sticklers though they seem to just be making it up as they go.

And with all of the pool restrictions, doesn’t it seem like it’s about time for them to just cancel that “perk?” Though I guess they continue to list it as a perk since it doesn’t actually cost them anything.

Hopping is allowed wherever one can do it. Of course, not negatively impacting others in cases where it's not within the "rules" is key.

Cheers.

Read the staying on points rule, and even mentioned it to the DVC cast member. We want to do Paddock at SSR. She said no problem...

It isn’t usually that busy. I am sure if you drive up to the gatehouse and tell them you are a DVC member and want to see the resort, they won’t think twice.

Agreed.
My 29 yr old daughter was staying on my points and did a monorail pool bar crawl with her best friend and they pool hopped at VGF just after the perk was withdrawn. The lifeguard held the gate for the two lovelies in their beachwear no questions asked.
I'm sure I would not get the same attention...

We hopped to BLT some years back and just walked in as someone was leaving. We were at MK and meeting some MOs (who flaked on us and failed to show, but that's another story ) and Poly later. We walked in as someone was walking out. I had not remembered where hopping was/was not allowed. Looked it up after we were in. Wouldn't have done it differently had I known as it was not crowded.

Despite the running and gym time, attention fro lifeguards is not high on my probability list either...

Cheers.
