Default The Boys: The Sherman Brothers' Story

Apologies if this has been mentioned before. This documentary is currently being shown on FIOS, and it is absolutely fascinating...to me...anyway.

Several years ago we were at a lecture/performance featuring Richard Sherman. He was amazing... a real vaudeville-type showman. He talked about Walt, how he and his brothers wrote the Tiki Birds song for the first animatronics, Small World for the World's Fair, many songs for Annette Funicello, all the while playing the piano and answering the interviewers questions.

It was truly a memorable afternoon.

I had the pleasure of a similar experience at one of the D23 Expos I attended. Worthwhile just for that alone.

I also saw it a couple of years ago. Very interesting indeed and more than a little sad to me. They are forever a large part of Disney history.

We "rented" this documentary from a Communtity Hall one rainy day. Really worth the viewing.

Fantastic stories about Walt in there also. It really showed how Walt got the best out of people.

Prolific songwriters and amazing talents. Disney is not what it is without them.

Same here. It was the year they had both Richard Sherman and Alan Menken together on stage.

We all sang "Winnie the Pooh" with Richard. An incredible experience I'll never forget.
