Default COMPLETE: Sal and family sitting in a tree R-E-LAX-I-N-G

Since I have the attention span of a gnat these days, I'm going to post a piece of this trip report each day. I'll mark the title as completed when finished for those who don't like things episodic.

First, the reason for this trip was the old "I've got points to use.. who wants to come to Disney?" I've often said the main advantage of DVC is that it forces you to take lots of great Disney vacations, and that was certainly true here. What started out as a simple take-my-mom-to-F&G trip ended up with my brother, sil and all three of their kids coming. With everybody's crazy schedules, having all of us in one place (or even one state) almost never happens anymore.

Even though it was a somewhat last minute trip (roughly a month out) there was a SSR Treehouse available (specifically a accessible treehouse, which my mom needs) so we took it. And that was it for the pre-trip planning. Nobody could agree on which of the days everyone would be there, which parks people wanted to go to, where to eat, etc. So no tickets, FP+, ADR etc. Just chech-in and check-out days.

One other pre-planning note: I pointed out - repeatedly - that DVC kitchens do not magically stock themselves. If anyone wants food to be in the kitchen, let me know or bring it yourself. Did this speech sink in? Of course not. Actual conversation...

Child - Is there any milk?
Me - Did you ask me to get milk?
Child - No
Me - Did you bring milk yourself?
Child - No
Me - Then there isn't any milk

Note that the "child" in question is headed off to college next year. Heaven help him.

Sal, happy to see you back and "Trippin" so to speak.

I think children only get responsibility when they have to...
