Default Easter in Hilton Head

Just made plans to be there...anyone else? Hitting the trifecta of Easter, Hilton Head, and the PGA tournament all on the same weekend. The Masters have been exciting and hope next week will be as interesting too.

Not this year, but we have in the past. Are you going to the Heritage? If so, DH went on Easter Sunday and that year, they had an Easter Sunrise service on the 18th green, with a couple of the golfers (I forget who) taking part. An unforgettable experience! Another unforgettable experience was how crowded all the seafood restaurants were on Good Friday. We ended up at British Open Pub which, because it doesn't have the "seafood" reputation, wasn't too busy. However, they did have some very good fish and chips. Have a good time!

Oh yes! We've done the PGA Easter sunrise service on the 18th green before. I came away thinking it was the most sports oriented Easter service I've ever experienced.

Several of the top leaderboard going into the final round at the Masters today are scheduled to be there. Molinari, Koepka, Poulter, Simpson. Tiger was at the Heritage one year....huge crowds followed him around the entire time.

Enjoyed the seafood story!

ETA: another favorite Heritage memory...

Watching Payne Stewart in his very noticeable plus fours hitting practice putts. Someone called out his name and he stopped what he was doing to say hello....such a gentleman. We also happened to get his autograph on a pairing sheet a few months before the tragic plane crash.
