Default What is one lesson you learned from your most recent WDW trip ?

I think we learn something new every trip. Last trip I leaned I do not need to do a Christmas or Halloween party ever again at MK. It was just too crowded. In fact I plan to stay clear of MK at night. The lighting is too poor and the crowds make it impossible for me to maneuver in my scooter.

Running through the DHS parking lot at 6:30AM rather than along the path, due to construction, somewhat sucks.

Cheers.

There is a pathway from Epcot to HS and it is not as short as it seems on the map...

If you walk along the walkway from BLT to MK for evening EMH, and the security checkpoint on the path is closed, the security guard on the MK end of the path may (will) try to insist that you turn around, walk all the way back to the other end, and (unsafely) cross over to the bus terminal to get to the main bag check area. Donít be fooled by the lack of signage detailing this ďruleĒ.

That Dinosaur and Space mountain open consistently later than the park itself. 2 trips in a row. They have figured out that a half our a day adds up to substantial savings by saying the ride is "down". If it is down then why do no cast members show up until 15 minutes after park open?

We have no need to do most table service restaurants at WDW. The food quality at most locations isnít superior to the average quick service, and it doesnít justify the expense. JMHO, of course.

I find that there are a few (very few) that transcend this. In general, though, yeah.

Cheers.

That the Tim Tracker listed his #3 favorite ride at WDW as The Three Caballeros. So I thought, you know, I've been going to WDW for 30 years, maybe I should try it, never been on it before.

..... now I don't trust anything the tim tracker says

OK, I have no idea who Tim Tracker is. However, consider the wisdom in his words:

It's a sweltering August afternoon. There are sweating crowds everywhere. If only there were a cool place where one could sit and even find some semi-amusing entertainment. Like a hidden-away, uncrowded ride that few know or care about. Enter Jose Carioca, Panchito Pistoles and our one and only Donald. They will take you on an amusing (and very cool) ride through Mexico. After that, you will do to La Cava de Tequila to absorb the experience..and the margaritas...

Don't underestimate this Tim the Enchanter...

Cheers.

Understood. And COP may in fact be THE #1 best place on this planet for a nap on a hot summer day (air conditioned, spins, catchy tune, kids quiet and entertained), but it's not getting on any Top 3 lists any time soon.
