Default Demolition begins....river country...

Well, looks like it is moving forward. We never got to experience this location, but I have a feeling many of you have many memories. Hopefully Disney will pay homage in some way.

OMG did I really make a typo in the title? UGH! This is why when you are not feeling well, you should not make new threads! (by the way fixed it...county and country are NOT the same! LOL)

I still have some tickets good for re-entry to River Country for one day when we were rained out and they had to close up.

We enjoyed the few visits we had there, was more like truly being at a river than at a pool.

Rip River Country.

You should frame them with a photo of your trip then.

Thank you for link. Might have to take boats over To see what is left of Wilderness .
Maybe this addition will finally help increase sales for Boulder Ridge since the pricing value still exists, if anybody is looking to purchase DVC.
Is construction visible from Geyser Point view?

We were just at Boulder Ridge and walked over to Ft. Wilderness. We saw the stakes for surveying and the orange snow fence go up. We also walked through the Triple D Stable and said goodbye. It's being relocated. We were told that it was one of the first buildings on property. The horses were moved in first...1970. Time marches on.

Were there signs as to when and where for Triple D? That's our one "go to" each trip, to say hi to the horses.

Bring them back after the new resort opens and act shocked when you see that River Country is no longer there

Ask if the tickets are still good....can you trade them in for a night at the new resort?

One of the ladies in the stable told us it wouldn't be moved too far... that was all we got. But I feel like that is a historic bldg. We always visit it too. Sad.
