I costed out the meal at R&C with one drink (I'm loopy after only one ). It came to $43. Leaves you paying $42 for the privilege of sitting there to watch Illuminations. Seems pretty exorbitant to me and just another Disney price gouge.

Better order drinks two at a time. I don't see them running to refill your empty glasses.

Two non-drinking 'adults' in our group and at a restaurant I'm not a huge fan of. I'd rather pay a tiny bit more and do an illuminations cruise or just go to another favorite location and do my own thing.

Not bad for those who enjoy a few drinks and like eating there.

Bummer for those who booked 6 months ago and thought they'd be able to request that area as has been allowed since Illuminations started.

I may have to book this. We planned a special trip the end of July just for Illuminations.
We can stagger back to the BW.

Wow! Another up charge for my group! We frequently book R&C for an 8pm dinner to enjoy both the menu and the view, but for us $85 is about DOUBLE our usual cost....and non drinkers with a 10yo.

I am waiting for Disney to make an announcement that makes me happy...or at least makes me smile.

Sometimes (not sure how often), the "seaside" terrace across from France is open to the public for Illuminations; it's about as good as the outdoor seating at R&C.
