What I don't get is why the injured woman did not get the contact info at the time of the accident.

I hate to see Disney sued for stuff like this.
If your car hits mine on the Disney parking lot, you fix the damage. I wouldn't sue Disney.
Everything that happens is not Disney's fault.

I think that is why they are refusing to get involved. Certainly, one would think it may fall under the scooter rental insurance or one's PIP umbrella of their homeowners. Deep pockets. That is what they go for sadly. What ever happened to personal responsibility?

The incidents happened several years ago and involved personally owned scooterS.

The injured party probably tried to sue the owner of the dvc first

I can sympathize. I was "run over" by an ECV in MK. A woman thought it was smart to let her child drive it. Luckily I have superhuman strength and the reflexes of a cat so I was able to spin, jump and wrestle the errant vehicle before others were injured. For my troubles, I was given three fastpasses. I should have laid on the floor and screamed in agony and sued as well. But that's not what supermen do, is it?

Incidents involving personally owned scooters? I doubt the court is going to give this one the time of day.

The implications of a judgment against Disney for personally owned ECV use in public space is astounding.

If the injured person sued, then why does she need the name of the person? Sounds fishy.
