Default New Resort at River Country

Could this be the much talked about DVC at the River Country location?

Sweet. Maybe we can get a gondola station on Discovery Island too for transfers between the area resorts and MK.

Wondering if this would be a cash resort, DVC or both. I'd certainly be interested in this one and it's area.

I'll believe it when they announce it. There have been rumors re River Country pretty much since the day after it closed. "Geotechnical borings" sounds like something they would do to determine what sort of construction (if any) is feasible for this site.

Agreed, but it means they are looking at doing something. Another hotel is what makes the most sense to me. I guess it could be some sort of storage or office space ultimately

I believe that a DVC resort will come to that location in the future. But I feel it won't be built for about another 10 years. It actually might come even later then that and be the last big stand alone DVC resort location at WDW, before the 2042 expiration date and Disney rebuilds/resells the 2042 resorts.

We have already seen the initial leaked plans a few years ago. I think the site is golden and will give DVC an opportunity to build a very large resort that will give DVC many years of selling points.

I'm sure Tom can tell us. Is this the exact location of river country, or does it seem a little off?

Right there with ya! Hopefully they will build one with a more exotic theme. We don't really need another high rise condo. JMHO...
