Default Star Wars cruise, anyone?

For many different reasons, last year I booked our family on the Fantasy sailing March 31, 2017 which is a Star Wars Cruise. Starting to think about costumes, since we usually bring tons of stuff on DCL for pirate night. Two out of the four in our family love Star Wars. The other two just like Disney cruises, so it's all good.

Has anyone been on the Star Wars cruise? It's a full day of activities, meet and greets, specialty food, special fireworks, etc. Any info or tips?

I was on same cruise last year.
When I board they give u choices on like fast pass slips for special meet n greets. We chose darth Vader and captain phases.
The night before is a cool activity in the atrium with phasma and storm troopers. The next day is movies all day, in fact movies all week of different Star Wars.
During the day u can meet a few characters in the atrium including bobafet, Jawas and some stars rebels.
On the pool deck are storm trooper walk around and they will pose for phOtos.
Bobafet takes over the pool deck twice as well
They only show Star Wars rebels all day on funnel vision
There is a special dinner and the pretty cool fireworks with a Preston featuring all Star Wars characters.

Yes. A lot did. Many kids. My son brough full darth Vader outfit with helmet. My wife and I had Star Wars tshirts. Lots of adults did dress up in full costume. The best was an old couple as old Han and Leia.

Good timing.....I have been looking at booking a Star Wars Day at Sea cruise for Feb of 2019. The cruise days are out, but in Disney fashion, they wont announce the Star Wars dates until much later. By then, our grandson sons will be 5 and 3. Not sure if the 3 yr old will go, but the 5 yr old will have a blast.

Do they do any Jedi training or any other type of Jedi classes?

Found my answer.....

“Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple,” Force-sensitive children learn the ways of the Jedi and put their skills to the test in a final face-off with Darth Vader and the Seventh Sister.

anyone can watch jedi training
but to be chosen you muse select it as one of your 2 choices out of the 5.

Meet Darth
Meet Darkside (kylo or phasma)
Meet Chewie
Meet C3po& R2d2
Jedi Training

i'm booked the 3/30/19 cruise. i hope they don't switch to SWDAS...unless they choose to run other movies on funnel vision all day. I love sea days at the pool, but to be honest, Star Wars Rebels for 7 hours was a bit much. Spice it up, throw on a movie.

Thanks for your help. Do you book these when you check in online? Or are these done on the ship?

i think they are changing the booking..and making it part of your port adventures you book ahead of time.

but for em and currently they put slips in your room the first day that you fill out and turn in.

We booked a SWDAS cruise for February. We received an e-mail a few weeks ago stating that we would be able to pre-book up to 4 Star Wars experiences on Star Wars day when we are able to book port adventures (so you book before arriving to the ship now). The 4 activities were trails of the temple, meet darth vader, meet c3-po and r2-d2, and meeting Chewbacca. There was no talk of a limit and it seemed like first come, first served but I'll have a better idea when we do our pre-booking next week.
