Default Southwest 60k points offer!

So I posted in community hole but thought it needed to be shared in the main forum. SW is offering 60k miles after a 2k spend on the plus card. I have the premier card and the fine print states you cannot apply for the "same" card. I applied, was approved and the account is linked to my chase cards.

I won't believe it until the points arrive but here is the offer.

Well done!

It's amazing which things that you "can't do" are pretty easy to do if you try

Cheers.

It seems too be good to be true. The 2k spend will be on the Platinum pass which I need to renew anyway, and will allow me to book $2400 worth of New Years Eve flights for about $800. And it puts me over the companion pass limit which is good until the end of 2018.

I guess technically it is a different card. The plus and premier have different annual fees and yearly point bonuses.

The Premier card and the Plus card are two separate cards with separate accounts. My wife applied for each card in 2016 and we got over 1.5 years on the Companion Pass (ends 12/31/17) with the bonus points. By far the best flight deal available!

To clarify, this is a additional card, correct? I have three chase, SW, Disney and Marriott. They are linked online for payments etc. but it would be adding a additional CC, is what I'm trying to figure.

Yes! It will work. I did this exact scenario a few months ago during the last 60,000 promotion. Points posted promptly and I'm almost at my companion amount needed. Enjoy!

Yes this would be another card. Unless you already have the "plus" card. There is a "plus" card and a "premier' card. I already have the premier which , I guess, is why I was eligible for the plus. As noted by another poster, they are considered 2 different cards.
