Default A Tale of Two Views

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times... I got nuthin.

It's time to start another trip report I probably won't finish. See my last two.

Got here yesterday. At BLT studio theme park view for three nights. Then we go over to BWV for five nights.

A few thoughts from yesterday. Crazy hot. Noob mistake and got a little
sunburn.

I prefer Poly Theme park view to BLT. The rub is you can't count on getting third floor.

HEA is just as good as Wishes from a distance. Music not nearly as good though. I hope to get a view of it from MK tonight.

Going to brunch at California Grill in a few. I'll let you know what I think of that later or manana.

Toodles

DVC can call BLT the Theme Park view all they want but for me it's a parking lot view. The BLT standard or lake view is better IMO. The fireworks view from BLT or Contemporary is skewed - so be ready. The view from the Poly is better x10.

That said - love me some BLT great access to the Wave bar, best QS at the Contemporary, love ending the day with at drink at the TOWL going over the day and planning the next day.

Hope you enjoyed the California Grill Sunday brunch.

I'm sitting there as I type. Excellent every time (for me).

We went big and did the MK view 2 BR this past February. We were 7th floor middle of building about eye level to the monorail. Was it worth it? For us yes, although we would probably not worry about doing it again. We did watch wishes a couple of times from the room, and we did enjoy the view very much, but you do see a lot of mundane mixed with the magic. Probably the best thing was watching the monorail and reading about it Wikipedia to learn about the color system, the "delta" monorails etc. We (the grandparents) also enjoyed our early mornings watching "the world" come alive. And of course the evening view was lovely. But I agree the best thing about BLT is Location,Location,Location - and every room has that.

We were at brunch today at California Grill as well! We were there from 12-2. After we were done eating we sat with mimosas and listened to the musicians until they left. Great brunch, highly recommend. So hot today, the view of the castle from the Cali Grill was as close as I wanted to be to Magic Kingdom. Unfortunately it was our last day and we are at MCO waiting for our fight home. Great time as always, can't wait to do it again.

Cali Grill brunch was very nice. I have no complaints. The food and service were top notch. We had a 10am seating and got the perfect table. Server was wonderful.

For the first time in forever....I have no complaints.

Yes, the musicians in the Cali Grill for brunch were excellent. Very talented.

I think Contempo Cafe is my favorite QS restaurant.
