Thank you for your thoughts. I know we cannot do Keys to the Kingdom as DS10 and DS13 are not 16 years old, but there are so many to chose from and some mentioned above that I did not know about.

Default extras

One more, and you said you had younger kids.

At AKV (anyone can book do not need to stay there so if you have a car or use UBER or Minnie no problem) they have a moonlight Safari you were night vision googles it was very cool and the animal caretakers were the people running the tour.

I thought that long ago they had a behind the scenes type of experience at AK that had a veterinary theme to it. That would be cool to see, but maybe not for everyone.

The head veterinary pathologist was on my boards committee in 2008, and I joked with him about getting a special (and more importantly free) tour of the veterinary facilities. He said "sure", but we ended up not going to Disney for another 1.5 years and I lost track of his contact info.

Default Tour with a Toddler?

Any recommendations for a tour or special event to do with a 2 year old if one even exists? We'd love to do Caring for Giants or something similar, but the age minimum is 4.

We have done Behind the Seeds in the past (before kids) and it was just okay.

Keys to the Kingdom is neat, but it is a bit long. Also, not for kids.

I would actually recommend Marceline to Magic Kingdom above Keys to the Kingdom. It's only half a day, and I really enjoyed getting to see the backstage area of the Haunted Mansion dining scene. That was amazing.

We were at the World 2 weeks ago and did the Rose and Crown Tea Experience. It was me, DW, DD (17) and DD (10). We all enjoyed it very much.

You got to sample 5 kinds of tea, got a scaled down plate of food items, and good info/entertainment about the history of tea.

Plus...air conditioning.

Another shout out to "Caring for Giants". I believe with DVC discount, we paid $20? Maybe $25 PP.

The hour went by so fast. The CM's were so interesting and engaging. At first I thought Hudsen (GD, age 7) was going to be bored, but she really liked it. She even raised her hand to ask a question. She tends to be a little shy, so we were surprised.

There’s a family event in MK which is basically a scavenger hunt with some rides included. Around 2 hours long and I’ve seen some really positive reports on it.

Depending on your kids, it might be really fun to do as a family.

Sorcerers of the MK and the Agent P adventures are both free interactive games which my boys both loved.

At AK, as well as the Caring for Giants:

there’s Savour the Savanna:

And Up Close with Rhinos:

And Wild Africa Trek which gets rave reviews from everyone who’s done it, I have never seen a negative report:

That would be my choice, without any doubt!

At AKL, this is the link for the Starlight Safari which was mentioned:
