Our family all loved it. Me wife and I felt there was enough of the old story and alittle bit new to make a great remake.

Default It was awesome

We loved it too! It was a great movie. I liked it a lot more than the Beauty and the Beast live action remake, although I thought that was great too.

Agree -- it was very much worth seeing! Will Smith is wonderful as the Genie and very good performances from Mena Massoud (Aladdin) and Naomi Scott (Jasmine) as well. New plot elements were welcome. The old songs went well, but the new songs kind of fell flat IMHO.

Absolutely loved it! And I'm leary of the live action movies. No one but Will Smith could have pulled off the role of the genie. Casting was spot on.

We saw it last night, I really enjoyed it, but my kids and DH, felt it was good, will Smith was great as was Alladin and Jasmin, but they felt the story was not as good as the original.

Look forward to seeing it this afternoon. I am a big fan of the live action Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast. After seeing the Dumbo trailers, I was not inclined to see it in the theater.

This is my summary as well. We enjoyed it. I thought the timing adjustments made during the opening and closing scenes (skipping frames to make it look like they were moving faster) was odd and unnecessary, and I felt the song they added for Jasmine (although a good song that was well-performed) seemed out of place stylistically.

But, if those are my two biggest complaints, that's a win!
