It appears to be right across I4. Probably about as far as Universal. Down the road from Art of Animation.

And nope, never been there but thought to help with the distance question.

It is very close depending what resort. My husband stayed there on business once, actually passed up the chance to go.. He said it was a beautiful resort, don't know much about the ice show.

Gaylord Palms is very close to WDW - right by Celebration and much closer than Universal. Exactly how far will depend on where you are staying though of course.

Haven't ever gone to ICE but have thought about it many times. Maybe this year.

Have gone to the Gaylord at National Harbor, Maryland, and its version of the ICE show a few times. Worth devoting an hour or so, quite impressive.

I have been to the ICE Show in Dallas area. It works for those years you don't plan to be at WDW or DL.... It is fun but look for coupons or discount offers.
If I hd to choose between spending more money at WDW or Universal or ICE ;
ICE would be last on the list.
The parking is horrible unless you pre-book valet in the Dallas area (Grapevine,TX)
during the holidays!

Interesting, didn't know about this hotel. DW and I need to spend the night in Dallas on the 18th, might just be the ticket!

Do you have Marriott reward points to burn?
Conveniently located across street from Great Wolf Lodge.
They are both huge but everything is bigger in Tx.

I say I am not going this year but my 2 Gchildren are already asking....

We've been twice to ICE at National Harbor. It's a fun, unique event, but it's hard to stay too long as it's COLD. We do look for discounted tickets as they are offered for off-times (weekdays for example). If you don't have the opportunity to see elsewhere, I say, "Go for it."
