Default Live from ....... Universal ??

Feels almost wrong coming to Orlando and not going to WDW at all, but that's what we're doing. Down here for 4 nights taking advantage of the kids having a few days off and will scratch the Universal and Sea World itch.

Flew in from Chicago last night, landing arounder 1030 PM, grabbed our bags and called an Uber XL that was $54 to our resort, Royal Pacific. Got our FOTL passes last night, and I have to say the lack of an integrated room key/ticket media seems a bit dated and behind the times, but first world problems I suppose.

Headed to the parks soon, and unlike Disney I've done almost no planning this trip, turning those duties over to the rest of the crew - my wife, son Logan (13), and daughter Jenna (8).

Here goes nothing....

Chris

Have a great trip! I can't imagine going to Orlando and not even squeezing one day in at Disney!

Enjoy. I also wouldn't do it without at least a couple days at WDW, but others of course can do so without issue. Hope you have fun.

Yeah - was very odd not going to DME after getting off the flight, and not going to WDW was kinda killing me - so two weeks ago I booked a F&W trip .......which makes me feel a little better.

Enjoy your trip! We did remark on the older style ticket as well when we were there. Mostly because they had us write our names on them at the gate with a pen. Just felt oddly behind the times.

At IoA right now, haven't made any dining plans. We're not sushi or seafood eaters so not sure if that place would be good for us.

Have been to Universal before, last time was just after the first Harry Potter stuff opened so it's been a few years.

Would love any tips as I know you're a Universal guru.

We just got back from our first non-Disney trip to Orlando. It was strange - my son in particular was a little mopey about that for the whole darn trip (talk about spoiled rich kid problems!)...

We approached it a lot like you are, no solid plans and it was a very nice trip.

Eat at Toothsome!!!
