April's trip will be a family trip over Easter, and changing too many rooms is not in my plans (or points).

Boy....Did this post go sideways.

None of this happened.

We changed our days for out Feb trip, to sync our trip with another MO friend. Ended up at BLT. Of course Covid destroyed our spring plans....March, Easter and Memorial Day trips. Ended up pooling the points from those canceled trips into a Grand Villa at OKW for 9 days in August.

Smile S&D F&W at RIV

Hubby and I are finally going to stay at RIV for S&D F&W. 1br luxury.

I have to use up the points.

Now it’s been at least a year since we bought RIV resale at $140, and direct at $160, I much prefer the flexibility of the direct.

Twice resale has caught me in bad spot, and I think I’m pretty knowklesgable about booking in advance.

So I guess my advice is to buy direct. I had to cancel trip due to work, and even though I had 3 months to book, all of RIV was sold out through November (I have Dec UY. And we can’t use the points at other resorts because they are resale RIV.

Just my experience. I think this booking difference may become even more important in future.

And I like RIV designation. I think of RR as Rockin Rollercoaster.

I think we’ll take the gondola to HS and boat it over to S&D. Anyone think of a better option?

TIA,
Goldi

We managed to snag Rivera Tower studio post cruise in March (hopefully not a ghost room) and I'm really looking forward to it because it might be the only way we (1) figure out how to use the ski-lift thingy to get to the Rivera and (2) finally experience Topolino's .

goldilocks if Disney doesn't allow trading spaces for resale they could at least extend the banking window.

Dvc MS won’t extend the banking windows, in my experience.
