I hate that they are putting everything on your phone!
I go to WDW because it's my escape from reality and to live in the Disney bubble for a week. While at WDW I drop my phone in my backpack and forget it's there. Using my phone sends me right back in that miserable world of "I know your on vacation, but would you..."

In DVC's Insider Magazine, they finally speak to this. It says,

Disney Vacation Club is developing an enhanced digital replacement for the physical (and soon-to-expire) blue Membership Cards and will share those details soon. In the meantime, eligible Members may continue to identify themselves and take full advantage of Membership Extras offerings by using the current digital version of their card available online at DisneyVacationClub.com/card.
Hold on to your old cards! They're now memorabilia!

So now my DH and DS will need to set up DVC log in accounts. They have no desire to have an account, but they do use their blue cards for discounts.

Geeze, I really hate having to be so dependent on Disney IT.

And now Iíll have to hope I can get a decent data package for the US or be totally reliant on the Disney wifi to be able to get a DVC discount.

Ugh! I hate carrying my phone around, in fact I never have done at WDW. I was usually with either DH or DS who could book the next fastpass. Iíll have to anyway if we get Genie+ that day, but now it means I have to always have it with me.

You can download the card so you don't need data at least. Pretty sure one phone would work like before too.

Oh, pain! I hate using my phone to access Disney "stuff"...it may be a hatred deep enough for me to just skip the DVC discount (at least most of the time)...this is one of those changes that I think I'll complain about for a few days and then get used to. But during these first few days of complaining, I REALLY hate this!

Last time I was there, my phone couldn’t even load the MDE app.

Ugh! My DH always has trouble accessing his account. We just gave up. I guess I need to set it up again.
