Default New Blue Cards - WHEN?

Anyone know when new blue cards will be mailed out?

Ours expire in December 2021 and hope we soon hear when they will be mailed.

I have both old resale and direct purchases so don't anticipate a problem but with Disney, heaven only knows.

Curious myself. I asked when I was out there at the DVC lounge in Epcot.

It was strange, I didn't just get a "we don't know" answer -- I detected a hesitancy what was more than simple ignorance. Like they're working on something and there is a rumor about it that they couldn't share. It got me SPECULATING THAT MAYBE:

1) All cards will be digital from now on through MDE or something
2) They are working on changing the requirements again and *not* grandfathering in prior blue card owners, so are trying to figure out who to take them away from (not re-issuing them)
3) Blue cards won't be a thing anymore because our status will be flagged appropriately in the WDW computer system, meaning they'd look us up by tapping your magic band or something when checking out, etc.
4) That person legitimately just didn't know but has a kinda dodgy personality

Iím not saying that they canít, but I think it would be hard to take blue card status away from current resale holders. Just my 0.2.

I think so too. But I could see them no longer issuing physical cards unless upon request.

Absolutely. And then hoping that we never figured out how to access the digital versionÖ

I was quite certain that this was the case already. I did not get one until I requested it (and it took about five months to arrive).

They're really pushing the digital cards.

I see it as 0.02 but with inflation maybe it is 0.20
