Default Adding onto VGF

So we own a small contract in VGF and want to add on. In looking at the add on tool on the DVC website Bay Lake is $245 a point Poly $250 a point and I see speculation that the new VGF is going to be $200-$225 a point ?
With resale VGF in the $200 range should we wait to see how the new VGF prices out and buy direct or grab a resale while they are available?

Have you called your guide to see if they can find you a small contract at VGF? That's the first thing I would do. Good luck!

They aren't going to sell a new building worth of points at 250 per (Opinion). However, I don't know when they'll actually start selling them at the going rate. Hopefully by Spring

So we decided to proceed with purchasing a small VGF add-on contract this past week (waiting on ROFR). We currently own a 125 point VGF contract and ran across a 25-point resale contract. Why we decided to proceed:
[*]Lots of unknowns related to VGF2 pricing[*]Currently unable to purchase direct[*]Unwilling to take on a loan for this add-on [*]Concerns that VGF will become a 50-point minimum add-on for direct[*]We already have blue card privileges[*]Contract came with available points (or points to bank for next year)

Of course, we would love to pay what we did in 2013. But it is still by far our favorite resort and I feel fortunate to have stumbled upon an opportunity to add some points at this time.

Best of luck in deciding what is best for you!
