I know I can modify a reservation to add/drop days on the ends but can I drop days in the middle?

For example, if I have a 12 day reservation but only want to keep the first four days and the last four days and drop the 4 days in the middle, can this be done?

If so, I assume it would become two separate reservations, correct?

Would it have any impact to my ADRs and FPs for the latter part of my trip (i,e. the last 4 nights)?
You are wanting to split a reservation. This is a difficult thing to do with DVC MS these days. It used to be a very simple request and now it is not, why? I do not know, it just has become very difficult.

Just for clarification -- Are you truly dropping the middle days or are you putting other guests in that middle spot for a rental?

Only with some big pixie dust.

ie - no, it's not allowed. Pixie dust has gotten it via reports here and there.

This is hypothetical for a reservation for next year. I would not be adding guests. I'm planning on going for a few days then leaving and coming back a few days later.

Sounds like I should just plan on being prepared to make two separate reservations instead of trying to split a longer one. Hopefully walking won't be necessary.

Yeah... I'd go for making it two reservations from the start when it's booked. I can give you suggestions on how to force the split, but it's a headache process for sure. PM me if you want to discuss further.

So if you could split it, any ADRs would be fine - anyone can book at 180 days and I assume you’d be splitting it well after that.

Your FPs would probably be fine. In theory the second lot could be cancelled, and that has happened in similar circumstances for a while for AP holders, but that seems to have been a trial that stopped. Generally you would only lose FPs for the days without an onsite stay. But just bear in mind that they could start doing it again without any notice, since their policy now implies that will happen.

If you book it as two stays with a break in the middle, you’ll have two ADR windows and two FP booking windows.

Default FP Tiers

Can we book 3 Tier 2 FPs at once or do we have to choose at least 1 Tier 1?

Thanks.

No requirement to book a tier 1. You're good to go
