We attended DL event on Jan 31st. Check-in line at gate was already long at 5:30 pm. It went pretty fast. Yay! We were pleasantly surprised and happy about the meal voucher is not restricted only to an entree and a soft drink. Each one is good for $20 of food at any quick service at DL, resort hotels and DCA. My family dined at Plaza Inn, got entrees, salad, drinks, desserts that came to $66 including tax, cashier took 3 vouchers and we paid $6. That left us with 1 extra voucher which we spent later at Tropical Hideaway on Dole whip and snacks. Starting 9 pm free Mickey ice cream and fruit bars. Many special characters photo op, wait time on rides were short. It was a fantastic evening, ended too soon. This was our first DVC Moonlight event. Wish you all the best getting tickets to attend future ones.

We attended the Feb 5th at MK for our first ever and it was wonderful! I was able to pick up our bands and meal vouchers for the entire party at the front desk of our resort (PVB) at 5:30. We headed over to the park on the boat a little later and others from our party arrived from BLT closer to 8 pm. They checked in at the front and were given additional bands! Yes they handed them over even though I already had their bands inside
We watched the fireworks and the park cleared out and then we finally met up with our entire group. That's when we realized we had extra bands and I found a young couple exiting the park and gave them a little Disney magic...the bands and meal voucher and they could not have been more thankful.
We stayed for the 11:30 fireworks and those were wonderful too! Overall a great experience and able to enjoy walk-on for the rides we wanted and viewed the characters but didn't get any pictures as the lines were long. The time went very quick!

You're thinking of the Disney After Dark events (or whatever they are called) and those have been semi popular now that they figured it out. Moonlight Magic is a free event for DVC members and they always book up quickly.
