Default MVMCP and CRT

Hi Friends - I am setting up my schedule for our family trip in December and I had CRT penciled in for the day we were going to the Christmas Party. I thought I remembered that they didn't have dining reservations during the Christmas parties (so that plan would be ruined!) but I thought I would check with my all know MO friends. Does anyone know if they would have reservations on the evening of a Christmas party for CRT?

They do, but for a while, they may not have reservation slots open past the park close. Eventually they put up reservation times for during the party, but I can't remember if you'll get a warning, or if you'll only see them if you have a ticket for the party on the date you're searching. I think the former.

We did CRT during MVMCP last year. Best advice I can give is to have an early reservation - even better if it's like ~4-5pm so that you're in there while the park is closing for non-party guests. When you're done with dinner, you can hit all of the rides with much shorter lines. For what the party costs, I'd not give up 90 minutes of it for CRT during if I could help it.

When they open up dinner bookings, there will be a separate booking page under Disney dining for it. Much like the Fantasmic dining packages, or Candlelight Processional dining packages.

There will be a warning (several I think) that you must have a ticket to the party to be able to enter the park for dinner, but it will let you book whether or not you actually have a party ticket linked or not.

They have reservations for CRT, Crystal Palace, and BOG? I think they release reservations more like 90-120 days out rather than 180. You won't find them available under that restaurant. You have to look for the party dining reservations, and then it will let you select a restaurant from the three offered. I had a 615 pm reservation last year, but cancelled a couple of weeks out. We decided that we didn't want to waste party time in a restaurant.

That's a great point. We are going to be at MK all day (doing BBB in the AM hopefully) and we like to get the photos with my daughter all done up. We were hoping for an earlier reservation (kind of our break in the day)

Can I suggest a mid-day break? We've had the most success with the nighttime parties when we took a break from ~lunchtime until about 4-5pm (usually inclusive of an early dinner at our resort). It sets you up to really take advantage of short lines for rides in the later hours of the party.

That's sort of what we were hoping to do, just with CRT. We would normally eat at 4-5ish anyway so it would fit perfect into the day. That day is usually the only one that we try to stay all day (and then the next day is our no park day so we can rest lol)
