I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this TR. And relived some emotions of my own through it.

it was definitely a photo finish and I got really lucky with the monorail timing. But I figured worst case was I beg myself onto the next bus or spend $40 for uber. squeezing those last few moments out of the disney experience is totally worth it!

Plus it made for great suspense.

it was fairly easy for me since DW isn't a huge disneyholic. Even if you can't do a separate trip -- try spending a day (or half a day) alone with each of your boys. We do this on our family trips and both of my DDs love the 1 on 1 time with each of us...plus they're not fighting for attention and each gets to do what they want to do. I find it quite enjoyable.
