Default parking fees - clarification

Hi all.....I have a question I can't seem to find the answer to. I've done the searches....

I realize us DVC owners don't have to pay a nightly fee for parking. But my situation is this: I have a reservation for my brother and his family using our points. They are not members and will have to pay for parking, I'm assuming. BUT, if they are paying nightly for their car to be parked at 'X' resort and choose to drive their car to a park (vs using buses), will they have to pay for parking at the park that day as well????

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Just wanting to pass along the correct info to him so he can plan for those charges.

No, they won't be paying for parking. Parking lot maintenance is already paid for in the maintenance fees of the points they are staying on.

Also - free theme park parking is still part of the offering of staying onsite. (it never was a DVC perk - just if you are onsite or not).

Default Parking Fee Clarification

DVC members do not have to pay a parking fee when staying DVC I get that. Do you have to pay a parking fee at Aluini in Hawaii? That is DVC? So just curious if you rent a car and stay at Aluini do you have to pay the nightly parking fee which I believe is very expensive. Thanks for any help in advance.

If your Aulani stay is on points, there’s no extra charge for parking. If staying on a cash reservation, they will charge the fees. Last time we were there the parking fee for cash reservations was the same whether you valet or self park.

Agree. Even renters do not pay. As long as the reservation is booked through MS, the people in the reservation do not have to pay for parking.
