Default Payment for rental points

Has anyone used Venmo for payment instead of Paypal? I recently used Venmo to send my daughter money and it transfered almost instantly into her account. I think the fee is 1%.

I just send a personal check. No one has seemed to mind yet.

I have used Venmo before but not for DVC rentals. For that I also prefer a personal check.

I haven't used Venmo, but I have used Zelle. For the time being there is no fee attached to using it, but there are transfer limits -- you would have to check with your bank on the limits.

Most bank has $1000/day limit then weekly and monthly limit.
Some bank allow upto $2500/day.

Numerous times I have received money thru Zelle.

I have received payment through Venmo for a rental, no fees if funded via Venmo balance, bank account or debit card. I prefer Venmo or Zelle to Pay Pal.

I have received money with Paypal, Zelle, Venmo, Check, and Apple Pay Cash. They are all pretty easy to use, but if you have an iphone then apple pay is probably the easiest. I didn't have any transaction fees and wouldn't accept a payment form that charged them.

Thanks for sharing all the info! I wanted to make sure that it was a viable option to offer renters. I've used checks and paypal, but venmo is so quick and easy. It would work for the smaller rentals. I learn so much on this site.

Default Venmo

Is there a limit on the amount you can receive in one payment on Venmo?
I have always accepted personal check and PayPal but this might be a great new option.

Not an owner, but another possibility to Venmo is Cashapp. Both work similar to each other and I'm not aware of any fee unless you elect to receive funds to your bank account ASAP. If you are willing to wait 2 business days to cash out to your bank account, there isn't a fee I'm aware of for either app.

There might be an amount limit but I'm not aware of it. I used to Venmo my monthly rent.
